Made for client work

The part of the job you can’t get wrong

New clients arrive with months of statements and no bank feed history. Retyping them is slow, and a converter that quietly drops a row is worse. This one shows its work.

A client’s whole year in one go

Drop in up to 20 statements at once. Download them as one combined file, with Source and Account columns so every row traces back to its statement, or as separate files in a ZIP.

Proof that nothing was missed

Each statement is checked against its own opening and closing balances. When the transactions don’t add up, you see by how much, before anything reaches the client’s books.

Review before you import

Rows the parser was less sure about are flagged, and every cell can be corrected in place. What you export is the table you checked.

Client statements stay on your computer

Conversion runs in your browser, so client statements are never uploaded to us or passed to anyone else. There is no copy on a server to worry about.

Ready for QuickBooks and Xero

Export OFX, CSV, Excel or JSON. Choose separate Debit and Credit columns or one signed Amount column, whichever the import expects.

Password-protected PDFs

Clients often send locked statements. Enter each password next to its file; it is used once, in the browser, and never stored.

A catch-up, start to finish

  1. 1 Collect the client’s statements as PDFs downloaded from online banking.
  2. 2 Drop them in together, up to 20 at a time.
  3. 3 Check each statement’s balance result and look over any flagged rows.
  4. 4 Download one combined file for the client, or a ZIP of separate files.
  5. 5 Import into QuickBooks Online or Xero, or work from the spreadsheet.

Tell us which banks work

You see statements from more banks in a month than we can test in a year. When you convert one, a two-line note helps: the bank, whether it converted, and whether the balance check passed. Never the statement itself, which stays on your computer.

Banks that fail go to the top of the list to fix.

Accuracy you can audit

A converter that shows its work

It tells you when it is wrong

Every conversion is reconciled: opening balance plus every extracted transaction must equal the closing balance on the statement. If it does not, we say so, and by how much — instead of handing you a tidy spreadsheet with a missing row.

Confidence, row by row

Each transaction carries an extraction confidence score. Anything under 90% is flagged in the table so your review takes thirty seconds instead of a full re-read of the PDF.

Fix it here, not in Excel

Every cell is editable and any row can be deleted, right in the results table. Your download is generated from the rows you see, so corrections never have to happen twice.

Questions

Before you convert

Is my statement uploaded anywhere?

No. The conversion runs inside this browser tab — the parser is compiled to WebAssembly and loaded into the page. Your statement is never sent to a server, and closing the tab is the end of it.

What does a catch-up job cost?

Pages are what count. The Pro plan’s monthly allowance suits regular client work, and page credits cover a one-off catch-up or a busy month. Credits never expire and are used before the monthly allowance. The pricing page has the current prices.

Can my team share one account?

Not yet. An account signs in with one Google account. If your firm needs several people on one plan, email us: it tells us what to build next.

What happens when a statement doesn’t balance?

You see the size of the gap and which rows the parser was least sure about, so you know where to look. You can correct rows before exporting, and the result tells you when the numbers agree.

Will a scanned or photographed statement work?

Not yet. The parser reads the text inside a PDF, and a scan is only a picture of text. Statements downloaded from online banking almost always have that text layer and convert normally.

Does it work with QuickBooks Desktop?

The OFX and CSV exports are for QuickBooks Online and Xero. QuickBooks Desktop imports bank files as Web Connect (.QBO), which statement2sheets does not produce.
