Credit card statements

Convert credit card statements to Excel

A card statement prints a purchase as a positive charge. Drop one in and get it back the way a spreadsheet expects: purchases as money out, payments and refunds as money in, checked against the statement’s own previous and new balance.

What you get

Read the way a card works

Purchases out, payments in

A card statement shows what you owe, so a purchase prints as a positive charge and a payment as a minus. The converter recognises a card statement - American Express and Discover by name, any other issuer by what the statement says, such as a credit limit and a minimum payment - and turns it the right way round.

Checked against what you owe

The previous balance, plus purchases, less payments and credits, has to come to the new balance printed on the statement. When it does not, the difference is shown before you download.

Excel or CSV, in your layout

Download a workbook with real dates and amounts, or a CSV. Choose Debit and Credit columns, or a single signed amount where money out is negative.

Your statement stays on your computer

The conversion runs in this browser tab. Your card statement is never uploaded to us or anyone else.

Accuracy you can audit

A converter that shows its work

It tells you when it is wrong

Every conversion is reconciled: opening balance plus every extracted transaction must equal the closing balance on the statement. If it does not, we say so, and by how much — instead of handing you a tidy spreadsheet with a missing row.

Confidence, row by row

Each transaction carries an extraction confidence score. Anything under 90% is flagged in the table so your review takes thirty seconds instead of a full re-read of the PDF.

Fix it here, not in Excel

Every cell is editable and any row can be deleted, right in the results table. Your download is generated from the rows you see, so corrections never have to happen twice.

Questions

Before you convert

What if my purchases come out as money in?

Then the statement was not recognised as a card, which can happen when it prints no credit limit, minimum payment or similar. Tell us about the layout - the address is on the Security page - and we will add it.

What if the numbers do not add up?

You will be told. Every conversion is checked against the opening and closing balances printed on the statement, and the gap is shown if there is one. Rows extracted with low confidence are flagged, and every cell can be corrected before you download.

Will a scanned or photographed statement work?

Not yet. The parser reads the text inside a PDF, and a scan is only a picture of text. Statements downloaded from online banking almost always have that text layer and convert normally.

Is my statement uploaded anywhere?

No. The conversion runs inside this browser tab — the parser is compiled to WebAssembly and loaded into the page. Your statement is never sent to a server, and closing the tab is the end of it.

How much does it cost?

You can try it free, with no account. After that it is pay as you go per page, with credits that never expire, or a monthly plan for regular volume. The pricing page has the details.
